What's better for office coffee, one of those airpot coffee makers, or the traditional glass pot?

I’m considering changing the glass pots we currently use in my office to the airpots. I’m told the airpots are cheaper per cup of coffee, and won’t produce burnt coffee. However I also hear the traditional glass pots are MUCH easier to clean. Open to all opinions to help me make this decision.

Big office ? It may be more cost effective to go with the airpots.

Smaller office and heavy drinkers- stick with the glass – Cheaper to buy.

Air pots are great because they allow the brewed coffee to maintain its flavor /heat for a maximum part of the work day without being on a warmer/burner.

Glass pots cannot maintain the heat unless on the warmer which will cause the coffee to take on that burnt coffee taste. Glass Coffee pots /brewing systems are designed to keep coffee at that Brewed Fresh Taste for 30-45 min Only .

If you have a quick turnover then stay with the glass pot system you already have.

Airpots are not really all that hard to clean, and keep the coffee hot enough for long enough that you will not be wasting coffee.

I have cleaned them both, and frankly, I prefer the airpot. One burned pot of coffee in the glass pot, and it is pretty much wasted.

Be careful, there is a difference between the airpot and an pump type coffee dispenser. The pumps can be bad news if they are reassembled incorrectly after a cleaning. (Much money for replacement parts.) Get the airpot with the spigot on the bottom.
