How do you clean a spice/coffee grinder?

I have this electric spice grinder and i want to grind sesame seeds in it. I have used it for coffee beans before. So, how do I clean it properly so that i am not mixing sesame seeds with coffee beans?

Tear up a piece of bread and run it in the grinder. It’s like a sponge and will clean things up nicely. I use it all the time.

lol don’t put it in water! i made that mistake before… um… im not sure how ur grinder looks but if you can take a a damp rag and wipe it out or use a bounty or something.

You can’t clean it out 100%. But you can get pretty close…

Wipe out the interior thoroughly, with a slightly-damp cloth or paper towel. Then (here’s the secret) get a handful of peanut shells or sunflower shells. Throw THOSE in the grinder, and run it for a few seconds until they’re almost powdered.

Then empty it, and wipe out the interior again. (Nearly) good as new!

a toothbrush works well, brush it out well, then grind some plain uncooked white rice with some salt, and brush again. The rice will help clear the coffee. I do this all of the time.
